Lorri Angelloz. Writer and communications strategist with a background in higher education.
I'm a writer, storyteller, and content strategist with an eye for design. I turn rough ideas into compelling written and visual narratives, and my work touches all aspects of internal and external relations.
My career in communications can be summed up through a series of acronyms. I recently left Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where I oversaw content creation and editorial direction for print and digital communications at the college. Before MICA, I developed online content for the former School for Professional Studies in Business and Education (SPSBE) at Johns Hopkins University (JHU). Prior to that, I was a writer supporting marketing, internal relations, and media relations in the corporate communications office of Lockheed Martin Global Telecommunications (LMGT), and was a writer and editor at COMSAT — the official name of the Communications Satellite Corporation, created by Congress in the 1960s as a public, federally funded satellite communications corporation.
Before moving to the East Coast, I worked as public relations manager for Louisiana Travel Promotion Association (LTPA). A native of Louisiana, I earned a B.A. in Journalism with a concentration in News-Editorial and a minor in history from Louisiana State University.
